Server Access & Role Verification

To maintain a safe and exclusive environment, access to the CottontailVA Minecraft Server is strictly managed through Discord Linked Roles.

Tier Requirement:
Server access is a premium perk reserved exclusively for our dedicated supporters. To join the game, you must be an active Patreon supporter at the Knight Tier or higher.

How to Verify and Join:

  • Link Patreon to Discord: Ensure your Patreon account is connected to your Discord account in your Discord App settings (User Settings > Connections).

  • Claim Your Role: Navigate to the CottontailVA Discord server, click on the server name in the top left, and select "Linked Roles."

  • Verify: Select the Minecraft Access role. Discord will automatically check your Patreon status to confirm you are at the Knight tier or above.

  • Get Whitelisted: Once verified, you will gain access to the hidden Minecraft channels where you can submit your Minecraft Username (IGN) to the bot for whitelisting.

Note: If your Patreon pledge drops below the Knight tier, the bot will automatically remove your server access and whitelist status. If you are having trouble verifying, please open a support ticket in the Discord server.

Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By interacting with this bot in the CottontailVA Discord server or the associated Patreon Exclusive Minecraft Server, you agree to abide by these Terms of Service.2. Intended Use
This bot is a private integration tool provided solely for the members of CottontailVA's Patreon community. It is designed to bridge chat and player actions between Discord and Minecraft. You agree not to exploit, spam, or intentionally attempt to crash the bot or its associated webhooks.3. Moderation and Access
Access to the bot's features is tied to your status as a Patreon supporter and member of the CottontailVA Discord. If you are banned from the Discord server or the Minecraft server, your ability to interact with the bot will be revoked. The server administrators reserve the right to restrict bot access to any user at any time for violating community guidelines.4. Limitation of Liability
This bot is provided "as is." The developers and server administrators are not responsible for any temporary downtime, message loss, or server disruptions caused by the bot or the underlying Simple Discord Link mod.

Privacy Policy

1. Data Collection
To provide bridging services between Discord and Minecraft, the bot collects and temporarily processes the following information:

  • Your Discord User ID and Username

  • Your Minecraft UUID and In-Game Name (IGN)

  • Messages sent in specific, designated bridged channels

2. Data Usage
The collected data is used strictly for the following purposes:

  • Relaying your chat messages between the Discord server and the Minecraft server.

  • Checking your Patreon role status to ensure you have the correct permissions/whitelist status on the Minecraft server.

  • Logging basic moderation events (e.g., joins, leaves, and deaths in-game).

3. Data Storage and Sharing
We value your privacy. The bot does not store personal message histories outside of the active server logs required for moderation. We do not sell, share, or distribute your Discord or Minecraft data to any third parties. Information is only processed through our self-hosted infrastructure and the Simple Discord Link integration.

4. User Rights
If you wish to have your Minecraft account unlinked from your Discord account, you may request this by contacting a server administrator or moderator within the CottontailVA Discord server.
